Meet Didier Planell

Didier Planell is a born artist who showed skill in drawing as a child. His parents saw the talent and encouraged to pursue his passion by entering it in the Specializing in Visual Arts School Lucchetti in Condado, San Juan. In 1981 he graduated with honors and entered the "Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale" in Florida to study and get their associate degree in Design and Advertising. In 1984 I returned to Puerto Rico to study Advertising Design at the University of the Sacred Heart and obtained an Associate Degree. In 1986, the Institute of Culture of Puerto Rico grants an Associate Degree in Graphic Design specializing in drawing, engraving and screen printing with teachers like Mr. José Alicea and David Goytia.

Along with the development of artistic talent in the media of their choice, works as a graphic designer for over 20 years in the major advertising agencies in the Island to local and international clients as Plaza las Americas, and Winston Salem, Honda, Miller beer, Serrallés, Ragu, Mattel, Nestle, Pollo Tropical, Taco Maker, Tourism, Rums of Puerto Rico, Coca Cola, Banco Santander, Ford, Mitsubishi, First Bank, Hewlett Packard, Electronic Lottery, AMA and others.

The artistic evolution of Didier Planell leads to mosaic, plasma environment in which his singular vision. To do this, it is certified as a craftsman for Puerto Rico Industrial Development and focuses on creativity in the development of mosaics for swimming pools, floors, murals, signs, countertops etc. His work in this area seeks, above all, to satisfy the tastes of their customers and meet these needs. All works of Didier Planell mosaics are original and not repeated. Each design is unique to each client and guarantees uniqueness. He uses glazed tile, glass tiles, glass, mirrors, stones, clay, marble, granite, and others.
